This marks the company’s second payout for the year, following an earlier P200-million distribution, bringing total declared dividends in 2025 to P400 million.
Growth momentum
The new dividend comes on the back of strong earnings, with RFM reporting 2024 revenues of P21.7 billion, up 5 percent, and net income rising 12 percent to P1.4 billion.
The momentum carried into 2025, with unaudited first quarter sales increasing 3 percent to P4.5 billion, while net income surged 53 percent to P309 million.
Growth was powered by its pasta, milk, and flour businesses, alongside gains from its joint venture with Unilever in the local ice cream market.
Ice cream spin-off explained
Unilever is spinning off its global ice cream division into a separate company to give the segment greater operational and financial focus.
The separation, targeted for completion by end-2025, will not impact Philippine operations, which are already managed independently through Unilever-RFM Ice Cream Inc., maker of Selecta, Cornetto, and Magnum.
