PLDT Inc. marked the structural completion of the 50-Megawatt VITRO Sta. Rosa with a topping-off ceremony, moving closer to activating the country’s biggest data center campus.
PLDT, through its subsidiary VITRO Inc., said on Tuesday the milestone event signals VITRO Sta. Rosa’s readiness for power integration and energization. Key representatives from VITRO Inc., Metro Development Builders, and Mace TPM attended the event.
VITRO Sta. Rosa, located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, features advanced energy efficiency and network resilience. It will host the richest internet ecosystem in the Philippines, ideal for hyperscalers, which include large cloud service providers and critical enterprise systems.
Ready for business
“VITRO Sta. Rosa is a landmark achievement for the PLDT Group and the Philippines. A lot of hyperscalers have already expressed their interest in colocating in our facility,” Victor S. Genuino, president and CEO of ePLDT and VITRO Inc.
“Once it is complete, we will continue to build more data center facilities ahead of demand to anticipate the future requirements of our customers as they accelerate the adoption of cloud and AI technologies,” he added.
