The leadership change comes as the company prepares for a P46-billion initial public offering (IPO) on the Philippine Stock Exchange.
Estrellado, who has been a key figure in Maynilad’s turnaround and growth, expressed confidence in his successor’s readiness for the role.
“From his leadership of Customer Experience and Retail Operations (CXRO), the largest division in Maynilad, to his years of experience as the senior operating head, Chris has long been ready for this challenge,” Estrellado, who turns 60 this month, said in a Facebook post.
Strategic transition ahead of IPO
Lichauco, who is in his late 50s, has been with Maynilad for over 25 years and has led the company’s CXRO division since 2013.
His leadership comes at a pivotal time as Maynilad readies itself for a landmark public listing.
Lichauco holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona, and a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University.
