The topping off ceremony was hosted by FPIP and its construction partner, First Balfour. The event marked the installation of the project’s highest structural component, signifying FPIP’s initial foray into commercial property development.
Rising along the main gateway of the industrial park, the commercial hub will offer retail, dining, and service establishments to support the daily needs of the park’s growing workforce, as well as the neighboring communities in and around Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
FPIP, a joint venture between Frist Philippine Holdings Corp. and Sumitomo Corp. of Japan,
is a PEZA-registered ecozone that is home to more than 150 world-class locators, including Collins Aerospace, Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata Inc., and Dyson.
The ceremony was attended by key executives from both FPIP and First Balfour. Leading the event was Jose Valentin “Joval” Pantangco, FPIP’s chief commercial officer and First Balfour’s president and COO. Other notable FPIP representatives included SVP Alexander Roque, CPG head Alberto Cailao, and AVPs Jeffrey Panado and Jason de las Alas. From First Balfour, CEO Anthony Fernandez and EVP Rey Villar were present.
The FPIP Plaza signals a pivotal move to integrate commercial services within the ecozone, further enhancing the appeal and livability of the park. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
