The Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP), in collaboration with San Miguel Corp. (SMC), is set to host its annual mid-year economic forum.
The EJAP-SMC Economic Forum 2024, themed “Future-Proofing the Philippine Economy: Policies and Strategies,” will take place on Monday, July 8, at the Ayuntamiento De Manila.
"We look forward to a healthy and informative discussion on pressing economic matters and the path forward, as the country emerges from the period of elevated inflation," EJAP President Neil Jerome Morales said.
"The EJAP-SMC Economic Forum 2024 is part of EJAP's thrust of bringing together newsmakers that will showcase initiatives to bring the economy to a higher growth path," he added.
Public and private sector leaders
Panelists will include Department of Finance Secretary Ralph G. Recto, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr., Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick D. Go, National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, and Department of Budget and Management Undersecretary Joselito R. Basilio to discuss the administration’s strategies for fortifying the economy against challenges.
The event will also feature contributions from executives representing private sector partners.
The EJAP-SMC Economic Forum 2024 enjoys the support of major partners such as JTI Philippines, Robinsons Land, SM Investments Corporation, BDO Unibank Inc., and Bank of the Philippine Islands, along with minor partner Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co.
