Executives from some of the Philippines’ biggest automotive brands traded the boardroom for the fairways as the inaugural Bogey Golf Invitational brought the industry together for a day of competition and networking.

Held Sept. 30 at Sta. Elena Golf Club in Cabuyao, Laguna, the tournament drew 34 executives, partners and motoring journalists, nearly filling all available slots under the club’s Wednesday tournament program.

Driving camaraderie

The event was co-organized by Top Gear Philippines’ Carlo Chungunco, Overland Kings’ Joel Conrad Pedro and A&A Consulting’s Spencer Yu as a fellowship event aimed at strengthening relationships across the local motoring sector.

Executives representing Isuzu, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki and Toyota joined automotive industry partners and motoring journalists for the tournament.

“While the respective brands compete in the market every day, events like this prove how close-knit the Philippine automotive community really is," organizing committee representative Joel Conrad Pedro said. "The 2026 Bogey Golf Invitational was a resounding success—it gave everyone a chance to unwind, build stronger relationships, and celebrate our shared passion for motoring and golf."

On the leaderboard

Paul Tanchi took the tournament’s overall champion title, while Jake Soriano won the Gentlemen’s Division. Raffy David and Justin Buzzhype Santos finished first and second runners-up, respectively.

Carolyn Pedro captured the Ladies Division championship, with Julia Ira Jornada finishing first runner-up. Mikio Tsukui won the Nearest to the Line award on Hole No. 20, while Santos secured Nearest to the Pin on Hole No. 7.

Lamoiyan Corporation supported the tournament with gift packs featuring Hapee, Dazz and Gumtect products. Empire Golf and Sports Shop provided Titleist golf accessories, while Shell Pilipinas Corporation contributed fuel vouchers for the raffle.

Minor sponsors included 24 Chicken, Bubu Food & Retail Concepts Inc. and Sarsa Manila.

Organizers said the strong response could help turn the Bogey Golf Invitational into a regular fixture on the automotive industry calendar, providing competitors with an informal venue to build relationships beyond the marketplace.
