The Gotianun family conglomerate, Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC), has hired legal eagle Estrella “Star” C. Elamparo as its compliance officer and head of legal, effective Jan. 2 this year.

Elamparo is a former senior partner at the renowned law firm DivinaLaw of Nilo Divina. She also gained recognition as the first recipient of the Woman Lawyer of the Year award at the 2017 Asian Legal Business Southeast Asia Law Awards.

Founded in 1973, FDC evolved from consolidating the Gotianun family’s real estate interests to becoming a diversified conglomerate with ventures in real estate, hospitality, banking, power, and agriculture. 

Its businesses include EastWest Bank, Filinvest Land and FDC Utilities.
