Insider Spotlight

  • Boomi rolled out platform upgrades aimed at turning enterprise data into action-ready inputs for AI, analytics and automation.
  • The update adds semantic context through Meta Hub, real-time SAP data extraction and stronger governance for agentic workflows.
  • A new European platform instance is designed to keep customer data, metadata and runtime execution within European boundaries for localized control.

Boomi is leaning into a message that many enterprise buyers are now prioritizing in production AI deployments: models are only as useful as the data feeding them.

The company said its latest Boomi Enterprise Platform upgrades are built to help customers activate trusted, governed data across systems and processes, giving AI agents more grounded business context while improving oversight and compliance.

Why it matters

The pitch lands at a time when enterprises are moving beyond AI pilots and looking for tools that can support live workloads, especially in regulated sectors. Boomi’s latest release targets that shift by tying together data readiness, integration, automation and agent management in a single platform.

“Last year, Boomi helped enterprises move from experimentation to execution. What we’re seeing now is clear: AI only delivers value when data is properly activated, trusted and governed first,” Steve Lucas, chair and CEO at Boomi, said in a press statement.

“Organizations don’t need more pilots, they need action-ready data. With these innovations, we’re providing the infrastructure to put data in motion, ensuring agents are grounded in context and every action is governed with precision,” Lucas added.

What’s new

At the center of the update is Meta Hub, which Boomi says creates a shared source of truth so AI agents and employees can work from consistent business logic instead of fragmented datasets.

The company also introduced a SAP Data Connector with change data capture, designed to move fresh SAP data into cloud and lakehouse platforms without custom development.

Boomi also expanded observability for agentic workflows. New governance for Snowflake Cortex Agents, Agent Session Logs and custom provider observability metrics are meant to give companies clearer visibility into agent usage, latency, errors and token consumption.

The bottom line

Boomi is betting that enterprise AI adoption will be won less by model experimentation and more by dependable data pipelines, governance and regional control.

With the new European instance and data activation push, the company is positioning itself as infrastructure for companies that want AI systems to operate on business reality, not just raw information. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
