The Gokongwei-led property developer is expanding efforts spanning renewable energy use, green building standards, and community programs—moves that are increasingly shaping its long-term growth strategy.
Why it matters
Real estate firms are under rising pressure to align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards as investors and regulators demand more sustainable, resilient developments.
Robinsons Land’s push has not gone unnoticed. The company recently secured two recognitions at the 11th Global Good Governance (3G) Awards in Singapore, marking its fourth straight year of wins, the company announced in a statement.
By the numbers
The company has rolled out rooftop solar installations in malls, boosted energy efficiency measures, and advanced green building certifications across its portfolio.
It has also expanded the use of renewable energy in office developments, alongside improved waste and water management systems.
“Through energy-efficient spaces and sustainable property management, Robinsons Land is redefining the standard for responsible urban development,” Robinsons Land's statement quoted award organizers as saying.

Beyond environmental efforts, the company is strengthening its social impact through Robinsons Land Foundation Inc., or RLove, its unified corporate social responsibility platform.
Working with local governments, schools, and nonprofit groups, RLove supports reforestation, scholarship programs, medical missions, and disaster relief operations.
Its initiatives focus on community development, health and nutrition, emergency response, and education.
The big picture
The 3G Awards, organized by UK-based Cambridge IFA, recognize organizations for excellence in governance and social responsibility, using a framework that evaluates transparency, sustainability, impact, and innovation.
Kerwin Max S. Tan, chief financial, risk and compliance officer, said the company is “deeply honored and grateful” for the continued recognition.
He added that the awards affirm Robinsons Land’s commitment to “building communities that are not only progressive, but also responsible and sustainable.”
What’s next
As Robinsons Land continues to expand its footprint, it is positioning ESG not just as a compliance measure, but as a core driver of value creation for stakeholders and future-ready urban development. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
