Insider Spotlight
Architect Cathy Saldaña, who leads the project, described Southlinks Estate as “one of the last jewels in the metropolis.” She added: “This is a new township and this area is so alive. Nowhere else can you find a big plot of land like this already. No more.”
Sustainability first
Southlinks is designed around environmental preservation, with 60 percent of the estate allocated to parks, wide sidewalks, gardens, and tree-lined walkways. Developers are retaining native trees such as narra, ipil, and ilang-ilang.
“When you change their habitat, they leave,” Saldaña said during a recent briefing. “Why cut and replace with something foreign? Here, we’re propagating the same species, keeping the aroma and the memory of place alive.”
The goal is a community that promotes wellness through nature and lower stress levels, at a time when health concerns are rising in urban settings.
Accessible but serene
Despite its quiet environment, Southlinks is positioned near major commercial and lifestyle centers. It is 10 minutes from Alabang Town Center and linked by MCX, SLEX, CALAX, and the Skyway to the airport and Tagaytay.
“For those used to living in Makati and traveling often, it’s actually even easier from here. You’re always on counter-traffic,” Saldaña said.
Living space as luxury
Lots range from 400 to 1,200 square meters, giving families flexibility to expand.
“To us, luxury is space. Luxury is fresh air,” Saldaña said.
Community life will revolve around a 1.4-hectare clubhouse designed with rainwater harvesting and natural ventilation. Facilities will include pools, sports courts, and event spaces.
Outlook
Construction is underway, with homeowners expected to begin building in 2026. Saldaña stressed that sustainability is central not only to health and lifestyle but also to long-term investment.
“Sustainability is not just a buzzword,” she said. “It’s about how this estate will improve in terms of investment and value. It’s about health, wellness, family, and about creating pride of place."
