The property giant posted a 23 percent jump in net income to P12.1 billion in the first half of 2025, while second quarter profit surged 31 percent to P6.26 billion.
“Our strong first half and second quarter results reaffirm the strength and adaptability of our township strategy,” said president and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso.
“We are always focused on ensuring that our core segments will continue to deliver exceptional performance even in challenging environments,” she added.
Leasing, residential, hotels gain momentum
Leasing remained a key driver, with office rentals up 17 percent to P7.4 billion and malls up 10 percent to P3.33 billion, lifted by new leases from BPOs and premium retail brands.
Hotel revenues climbed 19 percent on stronger occupancy and higher room rates, with Megaworld also expanding its partnership with global chain Accor.
Real estate sales rose 9 percent to P27.12 billion, supported by steady demand in Bonifacio, Eastwood, Bacolod, and Cavite.
Residential growth remained firm despite market headwinds, thanks to project completions and provincial interest.
“We’re pushing forward with more townships, smarter spaces, and deeper integration across our developments, but at the same time, making sure that we build responsibly and sustainably,” Gutierrez-Alfonso.
Bigger footprint, stronger position
The company now has 36 townships covering around 7,000 hectares, including the newly launched Nascala Coast in Nasugbu under Global-Estate Resorts Inc.
Megaworld aims to grow its leasing portfolio to 3 million square meters by 2030, split between offices and malls. Assets stood at nearly half a trillion pesos by end-June, reflecting its robust financial footing.
