The roughly 4,000-square-meter store is the largest stand-alone supermarket in its format, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
“MerryMart Group continues its organic expansion and remains on the lookout for opportunities to acquire companies in the consumer space that have a strategic fit with its long-term growth,” the company said.
Meanwhile, it also aims to grow its store network in new provincial locations.
These include Antique, Palo (Leyte), San Carlos (Negros), Bay (Laguna), Koronadal, General Trias, Ormoc, and Ozamiz.
“MerryMart Group maintained its dominant market share in Capiz Province while it continues to gain significant market traction in the neighboring areas,” the company said.
