The program builds on Globe’s extensive anti-scam initiatives, which blocked more than 484 million scam and spam messages in the first half of 2025 alone.
GASA’s Philippine Chapter, launched at The Globe Tower, includes vice chairs Gogolook and Meta, and is supported by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
GASA’s data highlights the urgency: online scams are now among the world’s most reported crimes. In Southeast Asia, 63 percent of adults encountered scams in the past year, while 31 percent of Filipinos reported losing money.
The group is forming committees, mapping out timelines, and preparing a public launch to strengthen nationwide response to digital fraud.
The alliance will leverage GASA’s Global Signal Exchange, a system for sharing verified scam signals such as malicious domains and fake accounts.
Globe has built a comprehensive anti-scam program over the years, pioneering measures like removing clickable links from SMS advisories, taking down fraudulent websites, and collaborating with regulators.
