  • Teachers are taking on expanding administrative responsibilities beyond classroom instruction
  • Epson says reliable print, scan, and projection tools can help streamline educators' daily workflows
  • The company is positioning classroom technology as a productivity enabler rather than a replacement for teachers

As schools across the Philippines reopen, education technology providers are increasingly focusing on improving teacher productivity as educators balance classroom instruction with mounting administrative responsibilities.

The trend reflects the sector's growing emphasis on technologies that simplify routine tasks and support more efficient learning environments.

Epson Philippines is reinforcing that approach by promoting its portfolio of print, scan, and projection solutions for schools. Rather than positioning technology as a substitute for educators, the company said its products are designed to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks so teachers can devote more attention to instruction and student engagement.

Why it matters

Teachers today handle lesson preparation, printing instructional materials, digitizing documents, maintaining records, and other administrative duties in addition to classroom teaching. Technology companies see an opportunity to address these operational challenges with tools that improve efficiency.

"Teachers play a vital role in shaping the future, and as education continues to evolve, technology should help simplify everyday tasks so educators can focus more on teaching, collaboration, and student engagement. At Epson, we remain committed to providing reliable solutions that support both educators and learners," Epson Philippines Corp. president and director Masako Kusama said in a press statement.

By the numbers

Epson said its EcoTank L15180 and M15180 printers are designed for everyday educational printing and scanning requirements, while its WorkForce Pro EM-C8100 and EM-C8101 multifunction printers target schools and administrative offices with higher-volume document management needs. The company said the products are intended to help streamline workflows and improve productivity.

The company also showcased its PowerLite L690E laser projector, which it said supports classroom presentations, multimedia lessons, collaborative activities, and discussions through bright visuals and flexible connectivity. Epson said projection technology can help improve student participation and content visibility, particularly in larger classrooms.

The bottom line

As schools continue integrating digital tools into teaching, technology providers are shifting their focus toward helping educators manage workloads more efficiently.
