Converge, through its Singapore-based subsidiary, will serve as an authorized reseller of Starlink’s services, integrating satellite technology with its existing fiber infrastructure, company officials said in a briefing on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 in Taguig City.
Key points:
This move forms part of the company’s broader strategy to grow its global business portfolio and strengthen its foothold in the enterprise market.
“We’re among the few in the Philippines authorized by Starlink to resell its services—an acknowledgment of our deep market expertise and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of both enterprise and government clients,” Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said.
“More importantly, this is about transforming the way businesses operate,” he added. “We’re bringing solutions that empower industries to scale and innovate, even in the most remote areas.”
Converge Singapore managing director Sherie Ng noted that many businesses continue to experience connectivity challenges in geographically isolated regions.
“By integrating Starlink into our suite of products, we’re unlocking new opportunities for these industries and the countless Filipinos who depend on them,” she said.
The partnership allows Converge to offer satellite-powered internet solutions for industries such as construction, mining, agriculture, retail, and hospitality—sectors where terrestrial fiber connectivity remains cost-prohibitive or technically unfeasible.
“Beyond serving primary business needs, this collaboration provides redundancy solutions also for enterprises that require a secondary, always-on connectivity backup,” Ng added.
Starlink, operated by SpaceX, delivers broadband internet via a low Earth orbit satellite constellation. With latency as low as 20-60 milliseconds and speeds of up to 200 Mbps, it supports bandwidth-intensive applications including video conferencing, financial transactions, and cloud computing.
Converge will offer turnkey packages for Starlink that include installation, network management, monitoring, and maintenance. The bundled services aim to provide a seamless solution that combines fiber and satellite technologies under one provider.
“This collaboration isn’t just about connectivity—it’s about bringing Starlink to Converge clients which will transform the way businesses operate in even the most challenging locations,” Uy said.
