The Gokongwei family-led Cebu Pacific, the country’s largest airline, is reviving its pilot cadet program with larger goals as it gears up to finalize a landmark $12 billion refleeting program.
Cebu Pacific released a teaser on its Facebook page, announcing that final details will be revealed on June 6. Through the program, the budget carrier aims to bolster its workforce to support its growing fleet.
Cebu Pacific launched a version of the cadet program in 2018, where the airline covered the substantial $100,000 training cost for each candidate in the pioneering batch.
Last October, Cebu Pacific said it would need to train and hire thousands of new pilots as it plans to purchase over 100 new planes over the next decade.
