AirAsia reopens Cebu hub, rolls out P1SO Sale for holidays

AirAsia Philippines kicks off the Christmas season with its sought-after P1SO Sale, timed with the reopening of its Cebu hub.

The initiative expands connectivity from the Queen City of the South to domestic and international destinations, reinforcing Cebu’s role as a vital gateway.

From Sept. 3 to 14, travelers can book flights on the MOVE app starting at P1 one-way base fare, excluding fees and surcharges. Travel period runs from Nov. 15, 2025, to March 28, 2026, with 27,000 seats up for grabs.

Cebu routes back in action

The P1SO Sale highlights newly reopened Cebu flights to Davao, Caticlan, and Iloilo, while international options include Kuala Lumpur and Macao with fares beginning at P888 one-way.

“Christmas starts early in the Philippines, and Filipinos plan ahead for this annual gathering among family, loved ones and friends. We are as excited as our friends in Cebu to offer value-driven products and services, beginning with the P1SO sale that will allow them to create purposeful journeys without the need to break the bank,” said AirAsia Philippines president and CEO Capt. Suresh Bangah.

Strategic boost to connectivity

The Cebu hub will see the following frequencies starting Nov. 15:

  • Cebu–Davao (18x weekly)
  • Cebu–Caticlan (11x weekly)
  • Cebu–Iloilo (4x weekly)
  • Cebu–Kuala Lumpur (14x weekly)
  • Cebu–Macao (3x weekly)

AirAsia Aviation Group CCO Amanda Woo said “the reopening of Cebu hub signals AirAsia Group’s strong commitment to the Philippines, exploring new gateways that will drive great economic opportunities.”

Recruitment fuels expansion

To support its operations, AirAsia launched a three-week flight deck recruitment drive, attracting hundreds of aspiring pilots who will undergo rigorous screening. 

Meanwhile, Allstar Wednesday Castings for cabin crew will continue until Oct. 29, welcoming applicants every Wednesday morning.
