In a statement, the SM Group-owned firm said the partnership — announced on October 15, 2024 — covers five major ports: Manila, Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro.
Through this collaboration, passengers booking 2GO Travel tickets via the 2GO app will receive Grab promo codes in their booking confirmation emails.
These codes can be used to book Grab rides to and from the ports, providing a seamless door-to-pier and pier-to-door travel experience.
“At 2GO, we are dedicated to enriching every aspect of our customers’ travel experience, ensuring their journey is enjoyable and stress-free from start to finish,” 2GO retail business unit head Blessie Cruz said. “Our partnership with Grab perfectly aligns with our goal of providing seamless transportation solutions, both to and from the pier.”
Grab Philippines echoed the sentiment, with its director for commercial and business development GJ Roño saying the firm “has always been keen on collaborating with companies that share our mission of improving the transport experience of Filipinos.”
“Through our partnership with 2GO, we enable more Filipinos to plan and access a seamless integrated transport experience that is safe and convenient,” he added.
Passengers can avail of this service by booking tickets through the 2GO app and using the promo code for their Grab rides.
This initiative aims to enhance the travel experience by simplifying the logistics of traveling between home and the pier, making it more accessible and hassle-free for passengers.
This partnership combines 2GO’s expertise in sea travel with Grab’s digital mobility solutions, redefining transportation convenience for Filipino travelers, the company said.
