In a statement, the firm said the P35-million facility is designed to support Solar Tanauan Corporation’s 50-megawatt alternating current power plant by enhancing power delivery to Meralco’s 115-kV system.
The new station, equipped with power circuit breakers, SCADA, and telecommunications systems, will bolster energy reliability across Calamba, Canlubang, and Cabuyao in Laguna.
Meralco said this project aligns with its strategy to improve distribution infrastructure and expand green capacity.
The company aims to ensure stable and sustainable electricity services for its customers as it continues to integrate renewable energy sources into its grid.
Meralco is the largest private-sector utility in the Philippines and is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under the ticker MER.
