Consunji firms DMCI and Semirara shower dividends on stockholders

Consunji family-led conglomerate DMCI Holdings has approved a special cash dividend of P6.4 billion or P0.48 per share for shareholders.

Payments are set for Nov. 15, 2024, to stockholders of record as of Oct. 30, 2024.

This follows an earlier dividend payout of P0.72 per share in April, bringing the total dividends for 2024 to P1.20 per share, or P15.9 billion.

This represents 65 percent of its core net income for 2023, far exceeding the company’s minimum dividend policy of 25 percent.

At the company’s closing price of P11.72 on Oct. 15, this results in a 10 percent dividend yield.

This adds to the P14.88 billion paid in April, bringing the total 2024 payout to P25.50 billion, or 91 percent of the previous year’s net income.

Its total dividend of P6.00 per share yields nearly 18 percent based on the Oct. 15 closing price of P34 each.
