Insider Spotlight

  • Healthcare leadership is redefining how organizations approach well-being
  • Preventive and executive health screening programs are expanding nationwide
  • The AWEN Awards 2025 recognized a Filipina executive driving this shift

Corporate wellness is increasingly becoming a strategic priority for Philippine organizations as healthcare providers respond to rising demand for preventive care, diagnostics, and long-term employee well-being.

Driving the shift:At the center of this evolution is Carmie Pascual de Leon, country general manager of RadLink Philippines and Executive Health Screening (EHS) lead of Fullerton Health Philippines.

She oversees operations for healthcare brands that run the country’s first dedicated executive health screening and advanced diagnostic imaging center—positioning preventive care as a frontline solution rather than a reactive expense.

Recognition

De Leon’s leadership and regional impact were recently recognized by the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs’ Network (AWEN), which named her one of its 2025 awardees during the 11th AWEN Awards held Nov. 21 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The recognition places Philippine healthcare leadership in a broader Southeast Asian spotlight.

The big picture

Under her direction, RadLink Philippines and Fullerton Health Philippines have expanded executive health screening, strengthened advanced diagnostic imaging services, and developed corporate health programs designed to support long-term employee well-being.

Her work emphasizes early detection, preventive care, and holistic wellness as levers for both individual and organizational resilience.

What’s changing

Beyond diagnostics, de Leon is leading a shift toward more compassionate healthcare delivery through the introduction of a new Caring Ecosystem and 5-Star Service Excellence framework.

The initiatives aim to improve patient and employee experience, foster empathy, and raise efficiency and service standards across healthcare operations.

Between the lines

Corporate clients are increasingly seeking partners that integrate wellness into business strategy.

De Leon’s approach aligns healthcare delivery with measurable outcomes—healthier employees, stronger engagement, and more sustainable organizations.

Beyond the company

De Leon also serves as chairwoman of the Wellbeing Committee of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP).

She is active in the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines, the American Chamber of Commerce, and the Management Association of the Philippines, where she advocates for wellness, women’s leadership, and ethical, purpose-driven business.
