The airline organized anniversary events at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport to thank travelers who have supported the carrier over the past six decades.
The celebrations brought together airline representatives and airport stakeholders, including officials from New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) and Naia Terminal 3 leadership.
A ceremonial cake-cutting highlighted the milestone and underscored the partners’ commitment to expanding air travel connectivity between the Philippines, Singapore, and other global destinations.
Why it matters
The anniversary comes as airlines across Asia continue to compete for international travelers while investing in stronger airport partnerships and enhanced passenger experiences.
Passengers departing Manila were greeted with anniversary-themed installations, commemorative postcards, local-inspired treats at the SilverKris Lounge, interactive activities, refreshments, and giveaways.
Travelers boarding flights also received commemorative batik-designed cookies, while similar activities were held for customers departing Cebu.
"On behalf of New NAIA Infra Corp., I extend our warmest congratulations to Singapore Airlines on this remarkable milestone,” New NAIA Infra Corp. general manager Angelito Alvarez said in a press statement.
“Thank you for six decades of partnership and for helping connect generations of Filipinos to Singapore and to destinations around the world. As we continue to modernize and transform NAIA, we look forward to supporting Singapore Airlines in its next chapter of growth and success,"Alvarez added.
