Insider Spotlight
Over two decades, JGF has worked with farmers, schools, and local governments, building a portfolio of initiatives that have reached hundreds of thousands of Filipinos nationwide.
The big picture
The Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP) has enabled 30 farmer groups to supply the Jollibee Group since 2008, integrating smallholders into a stable corporate supply chain. By 2025, these farmers accounted for 31 percent of vegetable requirements and 42 percent of white onions.
Meanwhile, the Busog, Lusog, Talino (BLT) feeding program has served more than 300,000 students since 2007, with 40 kitchens now supporting over 43,000 learners. The FoodAID program has delivered more than 18 million meals to disaster-affected communities since 2020, including 3.4 million meals in 2025 alone.
The JGF ACE Scholarship Program (Access, Curriculum, and Employability) complements these efforts by helping underprivileged youth complete their education and gain technical skills in Agro-Entrepreneurship (AE), Quick Service Restaurant Operations (QSRO), and Mechatronics—preparing them for employment in food service and agriculture.
These milestones, according to a company statement, reflect a strategy focused on building long-term systems that enable communities to sustain growth.
Why it matters
JGF’s integrated model—linking FEP farmers to markets, improving nutrition through BLT, delivering rapid response via FoodAID, and developing talent through ACE—demonstrates how corporate foundations can address interconnected social challenges at scale.
“Tonight is not just about celebrating milestones. It is about celebrating people—people who have worked together, often quietly, over many years to make a real difference in the lives of others,” said Dr. Tony Tan Caktiong, co-founder and executive chair of the Jollibee Group and chair emeritus of JGF.
He also paid tribute to the Foundation’s leadership, citing Grace Tan Caktiong, in particular, for her role in building JGF, “… an organization with a life of its own, one that continues to grow and meaningfully serve the communities,” he said.
“We are truly thankful for each one of you who chose to be here tonight,” said Gisela Tiongson, president of the Jollibee Group Foundation.
“You are not just our guests—you are part of the larger Jollibee Group community, bound together by shared values and generous hearts. What makes this evening special is not only that we are celebrating 20 years, but that the people in this room represent every part of that journey.”
What’s new
The foundation unveiled a refreshed logo, signaling a renewed push to expand partnerships and deepen impact nationwide.
“While the look may evolve, our mission remains the same: to nourish communities and help build a future where joy continues to grow,” said William Tan Untiong, chair of the Jollibee Group Foundation.
What’s next
JGF aims to scale FEP, BLT, FoodAID, and ACE further to reach more communities.
“As we look ahead, may the next seasons bring deeper partnerships, wider opportunities, and richer harvests of hope—so that together, we can continue sharing joy where it is needed most,” Dr. Tan Caktiong said. —Princess Daisy C. Ominga | Ed:Corrie S. Narisma
