Fighting hunger, feeding hope
The Loaves X Fish Foundation, Inc. runs a charity kitchen dedicated to providing hot meals for the poor, abandoned, marginalized, and forgotten.
Since its opening in February 2024, the foundation has served more than 325,000 meals, powered by over 1,700 volunteers and partnerships with 30 parishes and NGOs.
Filinvest employees have been part of this effort since the beginning, regularly volunteering in the kitchen to help prepare and distribute meals — reflecting the group’s deep culture of service.
A legacy of service
“Filinvest’s 70th year is not only a celebration of our journey but also an opportune time to remind ourselves of our social responsibility. Supporting Loaves X Fish allows us to honor our partners while extending care to communities that need it most,” said Ysmael V. Baysa, chief operating officer of Filinvest Development Corp.
What began in a Quiapo shophouse in 1955 has since grown into one of the country’s largest and most diversified conglomerates.
With businesses spanning real estate, banking, power, hospitality, and sugar, the heart of Filinvest remains the same: uplifting lives and creating opportunities, the company said in a statement.
