Globe highlights AI innovation, wins big at DTW Ignite in Copenhagen

Globe took the stage at Digital Transformation World (DTW) Ignite 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark, establishing itself as a credible, forward-thinking artificial intelligence (AI) leader in the global telecom ecosystem.

Hosted by TM Forum in Copenhagen, the event, considered one of the most influential gatherings in telecom, provided a platform for Globe to highlight its AI journey and share best practices for scalable innovation and customer-centric transformation.

Globe’s chief artificial intelligence officer and chief information security officer, Anton Bonifacio, led the company’s presence with a keynote titled Becoming AI & Data Natives. In his talk, he shared Globe’s strategic, human-centric approach to AI, using a kitchen metaphor to illustrate the importance of building strong foundations, fostering inclusive innovation, ensuring responsible governance, and delivering real-world impact.

Human-centric AI strategy: Empowering people first

“For Globe, we have a kitchen strategy,” Bonifacio explained. “It's going to be a foundation-first approach while we're trying to get some things out as far as some of these dishes are concerned. It could be your common AI landing zones. It could be a common observability stack. It could be a common set of LLM guardrails. There are a lot of common components there that can be reused.”

Bonifacio emphasized the importance of empowering employees with accessible tools, such as low-code and no-code platforms, and democratizing access to large language models (LLMs).

“We said, since we're still assembling the team, why don't we empower all of our employees with the right tools—whether that's low code, no code, immediate access to LLMs—and let the people that are closest to the problems and the pain points solve for things,” he said.

“We want to be able to expand outside of that kitchen. We'd like to be able to empower our customers at some point to cook in the same kitchen so that they can actually collaborate with us,” Bonifacio shared.

He also cautioned against piecemeal AI adoption and vendor lock-in, calling for integrated systems that promote flexibility and collaboration.

Global recognition for AI-powered solutions

“Businesses are hungry. Maybe they want specific cuisines, maybe they want more products, or maybe they want steak. Imagine if we have to build a separate kitchen with separate components and separate appliances engaging different partners. We're going to wake up in the same nightmare that we are in now, where you got vendor lock-in and overlapping technologies,” Bonifacio warned.

Globe’s participation at DTW Ignite was further highlighted by three Open Innovation Catalyst Awards, led by the Network Digitalization team under Dennis R. Abella. The team took home awards for Business Impact, Attendees’ Choice, and Interactive Showcase.

Among the innovations recognized was an AI-powered customer satisfaction engine that uses real-time predictive insights, graph analytics, and automation to reduce churn and enhance user experience.

AI-Native Network Architecture on Display

In addition to its award-winning tools, Globe also exhibited its AI-native network architecture, built on:

  • Scalable, cloud-first operations

  • Predictive intelligence

  • Real-time decision-making layers

  • A unified data framework aligned with TM Forum standards
