Under the rollout, more than 1,200 PMFTC salesmen will carry QR-enabled IDs and lanyards, allowing customers to pay through any bank app or e-wallet instead of handing over cash.
PNB president and CEO Edwin R. Bautista said the move will make day-to-day collections “simpler, safer, and faster” for both sales teams and customers.
PMFTC finance and planning director Dominique Thollon added that the initiative shows how the right technology can lighten workloads and improve routine operations.
The nationwide rollout follows initial testing and is set to go live in September 2025. PNB said it is already exploring additional services with PMFTC, including disbursement and employee solutions, to further broaden the partnership.
