Tanduay is strengthening its global footprint with the rising international acclaim for its Especia Spiced Rum, as the brand continues expanding distribution and elevating Filipino-crafted spirits in a competitive global market.

Driving this momentum

The product recently captured a Double Gold Medal from the Hong Kong–based Asia Spirits Ratings—alongside titles for Rum of the Year and Best Spirit of the Year by Value for 2025.

Why it matters

The Asia Spirits Ratings evaluates entries based on quality, value for money, and visual appeal. A Double Gold—the highest tier—requires a score of 96 to 100 points. 

Tanduay Especia Spiced Rum topped the competition with 96 points, tying with Kenya’s Mara Gin.

Judges praised its profile: “gingerbread and biscotti aromas open to a layered palate of chocolate, almond, and nutmeg, finishing long with butterscotch and warm spice.”
