The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the PPP Center have agreed to work together to create a strong pipeline of public-private partnership projects for local governments and other partners.

The PPP Center will collaborate with USAID to help partner institutions develop, evaluate, approve, procure, and implement these projects, including offering training and development programs, a statement on Wednesday showed.

This partnership aims to ensure institutions are well-equipped to handle PPP processes, with the possibility of funding early project activities through the PPP Center’s Project Development and Monitoring Facility being considered.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by USAID acting mission director Rebekah Eubanks and PPP Center executive director Ma. Cynthia Hernandez, with key officials such as Eleazar Ricote, Jay de Quiros, Alex Brillantes Jr., and Maria Fe Villamejor-Mendoza present.
