Suntrust Resort to retain veteran director, fast food exec Eugenio Reducindo

Casino group Suntrust Resort Holdings, formerly Suntrust Home Developers, has approved the nomination of longtime independent director Eugenio B. Reducindo, who manages McDonald’s stores in the Philippines and overseas, to remain on the board.

Suntrust Resort is the developer of the $1 billion Westside City casino along Manila Bay. 

First elected in 2015, Reducindo surpasses the company’s nine-year limit for independent directors. The board highlighted his independence, objective judgment, deep knowledge of the company’s operations, and extensive experience in the food service industry.

Stockholders have repeatedly elected Reducindo since 2017, reflecting their trust and support.

In addition to his role at Suntrust, Reducindo serves as managing director of Choice Gourmet Banquet, Inc., which operates McDonald’s outlets and previously managed restaurants like Shanghai Bistro and SoHo Tea House. 

Since 2007, he has overseen 16 McDonald’s outlets in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Iloilo.

Before his current role, he was branch manager for Choice Gourmet’s first McDonald’s store at Forbestown Center. His earlier positions include branch manager at Golden Arches Development Corp., operations consultant for McDonald’s Egypt, and assistant manager at Makati Shangri-La.

With significant experience managing both quick service and fine dining restaurants, Reducindo has handled daily operations and overseen multiple outlets. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Far Eastern University.
