The company said its latest innovations are designed to support the Philippines’ increasing demand for digitalization, sustainability, and modern infrastructure.
The lighting solutions provider said it is expanding its portfolio of connected lighting systems that go beyond illumination, enabling organizations to gain better control over facilities, lower electricity costs, and improve workplace and public environments.
The initiative aligns with the company’s global purpose of “Brighter Lives, Better World.”
Why it matters
As businesses face rising energy costs and increasing pressure to meet environmental goals, intelligent lighting systems are emerging as a tool for reducing operational expenses while supporting sustainability targets.
Signify sees opportunities across offices, retail establishments, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, hospitality venues, and public infrastructure projects.
“As the Philippines continues to grow and modernize, we see tremendous opportunities for lighting to play a larger role in improving business performance, sustainability, and quality of life.
This year, we are introducing more advanced and innovative lighting solutions that help customers achieve greater energy savings, gain better control over their environments, and support their long-term sustainability goals,” Signify Philippines commercial leader Redin Aliling said in a statement.
The bigger picture
The company said connected lighting can improve safety, visibility, and efficiency in industrial environments while helping retailers create more engaging customer experiences.
In public infrastructure, modern LED and connected systems can contribute to safer roads and more livable urban spaces.
Signify is also advancing circular economy initiatives through longer-lasting products, sustainable materials, waste reduction programs, and responsible resource management practices.
The company said these efforts are intended to help customers maximize the value of their lighting investments while reducing environmental impact.
“The benefits extend far beyond individual buildings,” Aliling added. “As more organizations adopt energy-efficient and connected lighting, the collective impact can help reduce energy demand, lower carbon emissions, and support the Philippines' broader sustainability ambitions.”
The company believes lighting innovation can play a growing role in supporting infrastructure development, economic competitiveness, and the country’s transition toward a more sustainable and digitally connected future. —Vanessa Hidalgo| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
