In a statement, the infrastructure firm of billionaire Enrique Razon Jr. said the initiative aims to address long-standing water supply challenges, improving access to clean water essential for health, hygiene, and sanitation.
Key representatives at the handover ceremony included Prime Waste Solutions Pampanga general manager Jake Lachica, Prime Infra Foundation executive director Dave Jesus Devilles, and Manila Water Foundation executive director Reginald Andal, alongside Barangay Planas chairman Alfer Nacu.
During the event, Lachica emphasized the impact of clean water on preventing waterborne diseases, while Andal highlighted the collaborative efforts within the Razon group, reinforcing their commitment to sustainable community projects.
Devilles urged the community to maintain the new facility, calling it a valuable gift that requires ongoing care.
The Katutubo Village’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) team received training for the facility’s operation, and a manual and toolkit were handed over to the local government to ensure proper maintenance.
Jonalyn Abuque, a local WASH team member, expressed gratitude, noting the project’s positive impact on daily life, especially for parents like her.
Prime Infra said it continues to focus on sustainable infrastructure, aiming to foster inclusive growth and improve access to essential resources across communities.
