  • Palawan Group and Radiowealth Finance are deepening their partnership to make loan disbursements and repayments more accessible
  • Borrowers can receive loan proceeds and pay monthly amortizations through Palawan’s nationwide network
  • The tie-up adds PalawanPay as a payment channel for Radiowealth customers, complementing physical branches with digital access

Access to formal financial services remains uneven across Filipino communities, pushing financial companies to combine physical reach with digital channels to make borrowing and repayment more convenient for underserved customers.

The Palawan Group of Companies and Radiowealth Finance Company (RFC) are strengthening their partnership to give borrowers additional channels for receiving loan proceeds and paying monthly amortizations. RFC is a trusted finance and lending company with 60 years of experience, which offers fast and easy loans.

The arrangement also marks Palawan Group’s first integration with RFC for payment services through PalawanPay.

For loan-related transactions

The partnership combines RFC’s lending expertise with Palawan’s physical and digital network, reducing borrowers’ reliance on a single transaction channel. Palawan has more than 70,000 branches, Pera Padala outlets and PalawanPay Money Shops nationwide.

Customers can use Palawan’s over-the-counter network for loan-related transactions while accessing digital payment options through PalawanPay. The companies also expect closer coordination across operations, finance, marketing and customer service.

Beyond business growth

"This partnership allows us to work more closely and respond more quickly to our customers' needs. It reflects our commitment to serving the underserved through 'Pagmamahal sa Pilipinas' and 'Serbisyong may Malasakit.' Beyond business growth, we want to create solutions that make financial services more accessible to fellow Filipinos," Palawan Group of Companies chief business development officer Lisa Castro-Sabado said in a press statement.

‘Serving the underserved’

The companies are positioning the collaboration around financial inclusion, particularly for communities with fewer options for formal financial services. Palawan’s network offers an offline alternative even as the companies broaden digital access.

"This partnership is about more than disbursements and business growth. It is about serving the underserved. By combining our strengths and maintaining open communication, we can create more opportunities for Filipinos who need accessible financial services the most. While today marks an important milestone, we see this as only the beginning of many more opportunities to grow together and make a greater impact," Radiowealth Finance Company chair Jun Famatigan said.
