This partnership is a significant step toward financial inclusion, allowing BanKo clients to make loan payments and other transactions through ECPay’s vast network of over 300,000 over-the-counter partner outlets nationwide. These include pawnshops, convenience stores, remittance centers, supermarkets, and sari-sari stores—making essential financial services more accessible where Filipinos live and work.
“Our partnership with ECPay allows us to bring essential financial services even closer to everyday Filipinos—especially the self-employed micro-entrepreneurs (SEMEs),” said Rod Mabiasen Jr., BanKo president. “By making payments easier and more accessible, we’re helping them stay on track financially—dahil sa BanKo, may ngiti ang bukas mo.”
In addition to over-the-counter payments, BanKo clients can also use 1,314 ECPay kiosks and more than 10,000 additional self-service kiosks nationwide. These touchpoints connect users to over 100 digital collection partners, supporting secure, seamless, and flexible transactions.
ECPay President and CEO Ma. Patricia de la Fuente-Pascual emphasized the impact of the collaboration: “This partnership bridges the gap between traditional banking and underserved communities, making financial services more accessible, convenient, and impactful for millions of Filipinos.” —Ed: Corrie S.
