Launched in 1997 as an 18.5-hectare mixed-use estate, Eastwood became the country’s first IT cyberpark and the launchpad for the booming business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.
Now celebrating its 28th year, the township is getting major upgrades across its commercial, residential, office, and open-space assets, including 23 residential towers, 11 office buildings, and three malls that host nearly 500 tenants.
Megaworld is currently improving Eastwood Mall, Citywalk, and the Eastwood Mall Open Park, introducing new lifestyle concepts and refreshing tenant mixes.
Moreover, select upgrades include the opening of SuperPark Philippines, a Finnish indoor activity hub, a redesigned food park at Citywalk, and the transformation of Fuente Circle into a bold, Bourbon-inspired nightlife zone.
Managements’ view
“Eastwood City holds a special place in our history as Megaworld’s very first township, and this redevelopment reflects our commitment to keeping it vibrant, relevant, and future-ready. We are not only preserving its legacy but also reinventing it into a township of the future—setting an even higher standard for integrated urban living,” said Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, president of Megaworld.
Hotel, IT plaza improvements
The plan includes upgrades to the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and recently completed works at IBM Plaza, with more refurbishments set to follow across Eastwood’s offices and condos.
Parks and open-air dining areas will also get a makeover, with brands like Harlan + Holden, Matcha Tokyo, and Jamba Juice joining the scene.
