Tycoon Edgar Saavedra’s property developer PH1 World Developers (PH1WD) secured a P500 million loan from the Bank of the Philippine Islands to support the development of the 4.6-hectare Northscapes project in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
Launched last September by the proper arm of Megawide Construction Corp., the project features 338 energy-efficient housing units. Townhouses at Northscapes offer 53 square meters for mid units and 70 sqm for end units, while single attached house models provide up to 95 sqm of space.
“We thank BPI for their vote of confidence in both PH1WD and Megawide, through Northscapes, and our goal to bring energy-efficient communities to emerging locations such as San Jose del Monte,” Gigi Alcantara, PH1WD president, said in a statement on Tuesday.
Northscapes San Jose del Monte is part of Megawide’s thrust to introduce sustainable living to Bulacan.
Each home features SolarSave solar panels, ResiShade tinted windows, and TropiCool insulated walls, all designed to reduce energy use and lower electricity costs.
“Financing for Northscapes aligns with BPI’s vision to build a better Philippines—one family, one community at a time. We look forward to more collaboration with PH1WD to further advance our shared goal of creating positive change and developing sustainable communities,” said Luis Cruz, head of commercial banking relationship management group, institutional banking segment at BPI.
