Insider spotlight:
Priced at P4.79 million, the fourth-generation X3 retains its status as the brand’s global best-seller, combining enhanced styling, performance, and sustainability features for the premium midsize SUV segment.
The model arrives with a redesigned exterior, updated cabin technology, and electrified performance, reflecting BMW’s shift toward lower-emission, high-efficiency driving experiences. It is also equipped with a new generation BMW iDrive system based on Operating System 9, expanded safety technology, and a longer electric driving range.
“The new BMW X3 signals our commitment to sustainable performance and innovation in our core SAV segment,” SMC Asia Car Distributors said in a statement.
BMW’s top-selling model gets major update
The BMW X3 has been a cornerstone of the brand’s X model line since its global debut in 2003. In 2023, it was BMW’s best-selling model worldwide, underscoring its appeal among both traditional SUV buyers and luxury consumers seeking versatility.
The new generation continues that legacy with a modernized design characterized by a large kidney grille with Iconic Glow lighting, sharper body lines, and integrated exhaust tips. It is offered locally with the M Sport package, which adds 20-inch M alloy wheels, blue-painted M Sport brakes, and aerodynamic enhancements.
Electrified powertrain, extended EV range
The new X3 30e xDrive M Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined output of up to 299 horsepower. It uses the latest BMW eDrive technology, allowing for an all-electric range of up to 90 kilometers (WLTP) — suitable for city commutes and short intercity trips.
An 8-speed Steptronic transmission with paddle shifters and a Sport Boost function is standard, while BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system ensures traction and stability across varied terrain.
Tech upgrades, driver assistance features
Inside, the X3 features the BMW Widescreen Display, BMW Interaction Bar, and a new-look gear selector lever, paired with Alcantara-upholstered heated sports seats made from sustainable materials. Luggage capacity ranges from 460 to 1,600 liters, offering flexibility for daily and leisure use.
Safety and convenience have also been enhanced. The all-new X3 now includes Driving Assistant Plus, which provides features like Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Front Collision Alert, and Speed Limit Info. Parking Assistant Plus adds a 360-degree camera and Reversing Assistant for tight urban environments.
Also standard are three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, Comfort Access, adaptive suspension, and automatic tailgate operation. An optional Premium Package adds Harman Kardon audio, LED headlights, lumbar support, and rear sunblinds.
Digital experience and charging
BMW’s Operating System 9 with QuickSelect offers easier access to key functions, while Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and the My BMW app provide seamless smartphone integration. The system also supports BMW Digital Premium, allowing drivers to personalize their digital services.
Charging is handled by an 11 kW AC onboard charger, and each unit comes bundled with a portable flexi charger. BMW offers a 5-year warranty (or 200,000 km) for the vehicle and an 8-year warranty (or 120,000 km) for the battery.
Local availability
The all-new BMW X3 30e xDrive M Sport is now available across all authorized BMW dealerships in the Philippines.
