The integrated marketing agency’s strategy gained fresh recognition at the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards on Aug. 27, where ID8 collected six awards for campaigns involving Max’s Restaurant, AstraZeneca Philippines and Maynilad Water Services, as well as its owned digital platforms 8List.ph and BiteSized.ph.
Why it matters
As brands compete for attention across increasingly fragmented platforms, communications agencies are under pressure to deliver campaigns that go beyond visibility and translate into stronger engagement, behavioral change or measurable business and social outcomes.
ID8’s winning campaigns covered a wide range of objectives, from revitalizing a heritage restaurant brand and improving public health literacy to encouraging water conservation and turning social media content into an educational tool.
“Winning across healthcare, utility advocacy, food, and youth culture shows what happens when purpose-driven strategy meets ID8's 'all-in' culture,” ID8 president and co-CEO Donna Nievera-Conda said in a statement.
“That dedication turns creative ideas into work that moves people and drives measurable impact.”
Campaign mix
Max’s Restaurant’s 80th anniversary campaign, which sought to refresh the Filipino restaurant brand while retaining its heritage, received an Award of Merit.
AstraZeneca Philippines’ “ACT NOW for CKD” campaign also earned an Award of Merit after expanding public awareness and access to free screenings for chronic kidney disease.
Maynilad Water Services Inc.’s “Leak Warriors 2025,” meanwhile, received an Award of Excellence for mobilizing communities to help protect water infrastructure.
ID8’s owned media properties also secured three awards. 8List.ph’s “#Bak8NgaBa” campaign won an Award of Excellence for turning Filipino curiosity into educational social content.
BiteSized.ph received an Award of Merit for “Amplifying the Filipino Culinary Narrative” and an Award of Excellence for “Sulit Mommy Hacks,” which provided households with budget-friendly meal ideas and practical food tips.
Bigger picture
The Philippine Quill Awards, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines, evaluates business communication programs based on strategy, execution and measurable results.
The six wins add to ID8’s recent industry recognition, following awards at the 61st Anvil Awards, 2026 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards and PR Awards Asia.
The broader takeaway for ID8 is the growing role of communications as a business and advocacy tool, particularly as companies seek campaigns that connect brand objectives with issues relevant to consumers and communities. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
