SM Hotels bags top awards for excellence in hospitality

SM Hotels & Conventions Corp.  (SMHCC) clinched multiple honors at the 2025 TTG Travel Awards, underscoring its growing influence in the Asia-Pacific hospitality and MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) industries.

The awards, voted on by travel agents and industry professionals across the region, were held at Centara Grand at CentralWorld, Bangkok. Since 1989, TTG has recognized top performers that set industry benchmarks across categories.

Conrad Manila retains top business hotel spot

SM Hotels’ luxury brand Conrad Manila was named Best Business Hotel–Philippines, marking its third win in the category. The accolade highlights its strong meeting facilities, world-class venues, and commitment to service excellence.

Joanne Gomez, commercial director of Conrad Manila, received the award on behalf of the hotel. 

“We are deeply grateful to the travel agents who recognized Conrad Manila as the Best Business Hotel in the Philippines. Your continued trust and partnership inspire us to continually raise the bar in delivering intuitive service and seamless experiences,” Gomez said in a press release on Oct. 13, 2025. 

SMX Convention Center’s back-to-back victory

The SMX Convention Center, the country’s largest private convention center operator, earned Best Convention & Exhibition Center–Philippines for the second year in a row. 

“This back-to-back recognition from TTG validates the passion of our teams, the trust of our partners, and the enduring influence of SMX Convention Center in advancing the MICE industry in the Philippines,” said Mike Albaña, vice president–general manager of SMX Convention Center.
