During a media briefing on Monday, Meralco reported that core utility business accounted for 62 percent of earnings, while unregulated segments, including power generation and electricity trading, made up 38 percent.
Power distribution sales rose 6 percent to 54,325 gigawatt-hours, while power generation increased 7 percent to 15,296 gigawatt-hours.
Total revenue grew 6 percent to P470.36 billion, driven by strong demand in commercial and residential sectors.
Meralco also leveraged strategic bidding in the Visayas power grid and improved operational efficiency to sustain its strong performance.
