Haleon, the leading consumer healthcare company behind trusted brands such as Centrum, Sensodyne, and Robitussin, has appointed Maimai Madrid-Punzalan as its new general manager for the Philippines.

She succeeds Jeffrey Go, who will now lead Haleon Taiwan.

Formerly known as GSK Consumer Health, Haleon has established a strong presence in the Philippines through a portfolio spanning multivitamins and supplements, oral care, and over-the-counter medicines.

Its flagship brand, Centrum, is now the #1 multivitamin and consumer healthcare brand in the country, driven by its science-backed formulation, wide accessibility, and strong trust among consumers.

The introduction of Centrum Kids further cemented Haleon’s market leadership, pioneering the children’s multivitamin gummies segment. Other core brands, including Sensodyne and heritage names like Robitussin, Caltrate, and Stresstabs, remain household staples trusted by Filipino families for generations.

Focus on purpose and growth

Punzalan brings over two decades of leadership experience across marketing, commercial strategy, and retail transformation.

She joins Haleon at a pivotal time as the company accelerates its “Win as One” strategy—its global ambition to reach one billion more consumers by 2030 through science-led innovation and broader access to everyday health solutions.

A 2024 Euromonitor study found that six in 10 Filipinos take multivitamins, highlighting a growing national focus on wellness and self-care.

With the Philippines’ expanding economy and heightened awareness of preventive health, Haleon sees strong potential to further advance its mission of delivering better everyday health with humanity.

Before joining Haleon, Punzalan held leadership roles at Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson, and most recently at Growsari, a leading B2B e-commerce start-up, where she served as general manager for Sarimart and chief marketing officer for Growsari Enterprise.

Championing people and culture

Haleon Philippines’ continued success is also powered by its culture of care and collaboration. The company has been named among the Best Employers in Asia by HR Asia for three consecutive years (2023–2025), recognizing its commitment to empowering employees while making a meaningful difference in consumers’ lives.

This leadership transition marks a new era of purpose-driven growth for Haleon in the Philippines—one centered on innovation, inclusion, and a steadfast mission to bring health into more Filipino hands. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
