Filinvest Group scores double win at HR Excellence Awards 2025

Filinvest Group marked a milestone in its 70th anniversary year with two honors at the HR Excellence Awards 2025, underscoring its commitment to nurturing talent and developing future leaders.

Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC) received the Silver Award for Excellence in Talent Management and the Bronze Award for Excellence in Leadership Development—its first wins at the prestigious awards program, which recognizes organizations with outstanding human resource strategies that drive business success.

Why it matters

The recognition comes as Filinvest continues to evolve its people-first culture while preparing for long-term growth across its businesses.

The awards validate the Group’s investments in leadership pipelines, competency-building, and employee development frameworks designed to address post-pandemic workplace challenges.

The Silver Award for Excellence in Talent Management recognized FDC’s comprehensive Talent Review and Succession Planning framework, Core and Leadership Competency Assessments anchored in company values, and leadership initiatives that strengthen career progression and organizational performance.

The Bronze Award for Excellence in Leadership Development highlighted flagship programs such as the Leadership Excellence Acceleration Program (LEAP) and the Executive Development Program (EDP).

Both initiatives were developed with leading academic partners to strengthen bench strength, succession planning, and cultural continuity while addressing gaps in engagement, agility, and alignment.

Beyond the wins

“Winning in these categories reflects our deep commitment to developing leaders and nurturing talent at all levels,” said Bing Paraguas, head of HR Strategy & Center of Excellence and first vice president of FDC.

“Our talent strategies are designed not only to meet today’s needs but to prepare our people for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow.”

Filinvest was also a finalist in Excellence in Talent Acquisition and Excellence in Workplace Culture, highlighting the breadth of its HR programs.

The recognition follows its four-award win at the 2025 Stevie® Awards for Great Employers, which also acknowledged leadership development, talent acquisition, and organizational culture initiatives.

The bottom line

As Filinvest enters its next chapter, it is equipping its people with the skills and systems to thrive in a purpose-driven culture.

These back-to-back honors affirm the Group’s track record of HR excellence and its goal of being the best place for the best talents—earning recognition on both local and global stages. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
