The bank recently earned two honors at the Digital CX Awards 2026 organized by The Digital Banker, namely “Excellence in Next Gen Customer Satisfaction Philippines” and “Best Customer Experience via Mobile and Internet Banking Philippines,” reinforcing RCBC’s position in the increasingly competitive digital banking landscape.
Why it matters
Banks in the Philippines are competing aggressively for digitally active consumers, particularly gig workers, overseas Filipinos, and first-time users shifting to mobile-first financial services.
RCBC said Pulz has evolved from a standard banking application into a broader platform integrating remittances, lending, investments, payments, and US dollar services into a single mobile experience.
“Through RCBC Pulz, the Bank has redefined digital banking for global Filipinos with a seamless, one tap platform that unifies remittances, USD virtual accounts, lending, investments, and everyday payments into a single experience,” The Digital Banker said in a statement. The recognition and related details were disclosed through a company release.
The big picture
Among RCBC’s latest initiatives is the rollout of US Virtual Accounts, allowing freelancers, virtual assistants, overseas Filipinos, and remittance recipients to receive US dollars directly through RCBC Pulz without requiring a US address or Social Security number.
The bank has also expanded its Banking-as-a-Service and API ecosystem through partnerships, including the PalaSave savings program within PalawanPay powered by RCBC DiskarTech.
The organization cited RCBC’s “innovations in borderless onboarding, real time transactions, and AI powered capabilities,” noting that these initiatives address customer pain points while improving accessibility, personalization, security, and financial inclusion.
“These recognitions reflect the passion, discipline, and customer obsession of the entire RCBC team. They inspire us to continue delivering accessible, relevant, and world class banking experiences that create meaningful impact for every Filipino,” RCBC president and chief executive officer Reggie Cariaso said.
Digital CX Awards
“These awards affirm that Philippine banking innovation can compete globally and serve as a benchmark for customer centric and inclusive financial services. More importantly, they inspire us to continue building solutions that empower Filipinos wherever they are in the world,” RCBC executive vice president and chief innovation and inclusion officer Lito Villanueva said.
