The Ayala Group’s Globe Telecom has made significant progress in expanding its network in the first half of 2024, adding 352 cell towers and upgrading 1,942 sites to LTE. This effort is focused on enhancing mobile services and data speeds across the country.

In addition to mobile upgrades, Globe deployed 39,880 fiber-to-the-home lines, extending high-speed internet coverage. This rollout is strategically aligned with optimizing existing resources, reflecting a shift towards more efficient capital expenditure.

Globe also expanded connectivity to over 500 remote areas, helping bridge the digital divide and providing residents with access to essential online services.

Over the past year, Globe has shifted its strategy from aggressive expansion to optimizing network investments, achieving sustainable capital spending levels while maintaining network quality.

These efforts support Globe’s mission to improve digital infrastructure and align with government goals to enhance nationwide connectivity.
