The momentum extended to the international stage after the Philippine marketing communications company secured a gold award and two global finalist citations at the Campaign Agency of the Year Global Awards held recently in London.
Why it matters
The recognition highlights how investment in talent and workplace culture is becoming a competitive advantage for Philippine firms seeking global standing in the creative and marketing communications industry.
The group's talent management arm, The Culture Hub, won gold for Talent Management Team of the Year, while Group chair and CEO Gil G. Chua was named a global finalist for Agency Leader of the Year.
GGC Group Asia also earned a global finalist citation for Best Place to Work, the company said in a release issued Tuesday.
The gold win, together with the two global finalist citations, made GGC Group Asia the only Philippine agency to receive a gold award while also securing global leadership and workplace recognitions in this year's competition.
The honors come as the organization completes its transition from DDB Group Philippines following the global retirement of the DDB brand.
Despite industry disruption, the group reported revenue growth and higher profit before tax while continuing to invest in leadership development, succession planning, capability building, and long-term talent stewardship.
"This recognition belongs to every member of our team," said Chua. "Awards are never about a single leader. They are about the people who choose every day to build something bigger than themselves. We have always believed that businesses grow when people grow."
The gold-winning entry recognized the group's belief that talent is not something to be owned but developed, empowering employees to become future leaders, entrepreneurs, collaborators, and industry partners.
The approach has contributed to stronger business performance, leadership continuity, and a growing alumni ecosystem throughout the Philippines.
"At GGC Group Asia, we believe that success is not measured only by profit, but by the lives we help shape, the opportunities we create, and the impact we leave behind," said Anna Chua-Norbert, group chief culture officer and founder of The Culture Hub.
"To win global Gold for talent management — and to be named a finalist for leadership and workplace excellence — is a proud moment not only for our people, but for the Philippines."
Chua's Agency Leader of the Year finalist citation recognizes his leadership through industry crises, organizational transformation, and sustained growth while maintaining a commitment to employee welfare and nation-building.
The Best Place to Work recognition likewise affirms a culture built on stewardship, fairness, and professional growth.
The bottom line
The international recognition reinforces GGC Group Asia's strategy of combining creativity, humanity, impact, and technology to drive business growth while investing in the long-term development of its people. —Princess Daisy C. Ominga | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
