Manila Water sustains world-class efficiency in water management

From January to September 2025, Manila Water maintained an average non-revenue water (NRW) level of 14.35 percent, comparable to benchmarks in developed countries.

The figure underscores the company’s consistent success in minimizing water losses through proactive leak detection and rapid field response.

Swift response to minimize losses

In September alone, Manila Water delivered 44.32 million cubic meters of potable water, serving more than 1.2 million connections across its East Zone concession area.

During the same month, the utility repaired all 57 mainline pipe bursts—each 300mm or below—within 24 hours, surpassing the 95 percent target set by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System - Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO). This efficiency helped prevent further water losses and minimized service interruptions.
