Injap Sia’s Merrymart reports robust 2023 earnings

Tycoon Edgar “Injap” Sia II’s supermarket group MerryMart Consumer Corp. reported a profit of P408.2 million on revenues of P6.3 billion amid the expansion of its wholesale e-commerce business and improvements in scale and transaction value.

“We are glad that MerryMart has delivered revenue growth from its current business lines continuously gaining market share and investing in the foundation of any business is like laying down sturdy roots for a mighty tree,” said Sia, the chair of MerryMart.

“By allocating resources towards the foundation of MerryMart we are fortifying its core elements which include continuously upgrading our technology infrastructure to optimize supply chain logistics,” he added.                 

MerryMart is maintaining its target to reach a total of 1,200 branches nationwide and total recurring sales of P120 billion by 2030.
