The move highlights both companies’ dedication to standing with Filipino communities in crisis.
Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro received a P10-million donation from representatives of VinFast and Green GSM on behalf of the provincial government.
“We are very grateful for your kindness,” Baricuatro said. “We will use this money to rebuild damaged schools, offices, and support people to rebuild their houses. I would like to thank the group and hope that you will continue to accompany the government and people of Cebu.”
Why it matters
The joint initiative provides immediate funding for local authorities to use flexibly — from delivering essential goods to rebuilding vital infrastructure. The support comes as government agencies continue to assist residents affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake, which caused significant damage across the province.
