Billionaire Ramon S. Ang’s San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMB) rebounded in the third quarter with a 3.9 percent rise in beer sales volume, adding 1.9 million cases after a slower start to the year.

The growth stemmed from strategic sales and marketing initiatives and volume-boosting programs.

“San Miguel Brewery’s strong performance reflects our dedication to keeping consumers engaged with our iconic brands and making sure there’s a San Miguel beer for every occasion and preference,” SMB chair Ramon S. Ang said in a statement.

“We will build on this momentum to drive continued growth, support San Miguel’s mission to help boost the economy, and make a positive impact on the lives of more Filipinos.”

Net income from Philippine operations hit P23.4 billion during the first nine months of the year. Earnings also grew 36.7 percent, including P7.4 billion in dividends from SMB’s international subsidiary.

Domestic revenues reached P98.8 billion as of September 30, 2024, up 2.7 percent from the previous year, driven by stronger third-quarter performance.
