PDRF, partners step up relief efforts after typhoon carina

The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) and its private sector partners recently provided emergency support to communities hit by the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) and Super Typhoon Carina.

Shell Pilipinas distributed 500 hygiene kits in Rizal, while Coca-Cola donated 900 water bottles. Jollibee Group Foundation provided 500 meals, and PhilSeven Foundation aided with meals in Bulacan.

The Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation pre-positioned rescue boats, and Nissan offered vehicle support. PepsiCo pledged $10,000 for early recovery efforts.

PDRF, led by business tycoon Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Manuel V. Pangilinan and Cardinal Luis Tagle, continues to manage these initiatives as it shifts focus to recovery and rehabilitation.
