Metrobank president Fabian Dee said on Friday that some of the bank’s customers might face slowdowns or temporary unavailability of certain bank products and services via online channels due to a global outage affecting Microsoft-based systems.

In a message to InsiderPH, the head of the country’s second largest private financial institution reassured that clients can still access their funds through the bank’s ATMs and deposit funds via cash accept machines despite these issues.

Dee assured that branch personnel have also been available to assist clients, who can also reach support through the hotline at 88-700-700.

Metrobank is closely monitoring the situation and will restore the affected services as soon as the issue is resolved, he said.
